WHAT ON EARTH IS SSO? 

The parent-teacher organization that chip’s in the little bit extra to make St. Mary School even more special!

(1) What on earth is SSO?

Probably the most common question any SSO President hears is: What is it and why is it called SSO?

The name of our organization may be mysterious, but our mission is simple: Be like a PTO or PTA, but better!  In other words, we are parents, guardians, grandparents, involved loved ones, teachers, administrators, parish staff, and more, all trying to do our best to chip in that little bit extra that makes St. Mary’s even more special!  I can’t speak to the origins of the name, but I do think the name reflects the fact that we are a special group of people going beyond the normal “Parent-Teacher” description and with a special amount of energy.  SSO: Like a PTO, but more wide-ranging and exciting!

● Hawaiian Shave Ice for a Hawaiian Saint’s Feast Day

● Roller Skate Night for Catholic Schools Week

● Bounce House Day

● Teacher Appreciation Week Treats

● Glow in the Dark Dance “Party to the St. Maximus”

● Special treats for teachers
