PARENTS

Our children have attended St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception School and Preschool for the past eight years. They have been provided many opportunities and are given individual attention daily. They are constantly being challenged to do their best academically. We are especially pleased that the emphasis placed on the children's faith and character is in continuation with what we are teaching at home. We are blessed to be a part of the St. Mary community!

Concerning the role that parents should play in the education of their children, the Second Vatican Council has issued the following statement: "Since parents have conferred life on their children, they have a most solemn obligation to educate their offspring. Hence, parents must be acknowledged as the first and foremost educators of their children. Their role as educators is so decisive that scarcely anything can compensate for their failure in it. For it falls on parents to create a family atmosphere so animated with love and reverence for God and Men that a well-rounded personal and social development will be fostered among the children. Hence, the family is the first school of those social virtues which every society needs."

We have been part of the St. Mary School family for six years. We love the small class sizes, low student-teacher ratio, academic excellence, incredible teachers, and how much fun our kids have learning. We love the opportunities for learning Spanish, religion, music, and art and the frequent opportunities for our kids to develop leadership and public speaking skills from kindergarten.
