Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, February 3.  We hope that many of our school families will attend.  Dress down passes will be given to students in attendance.  Meet Mrs. Marvin in the Parish Hall after Mass.

Remember to purchase your Mardi Gras tickets.  Mardi Gras is next Friday, February 9.  Tickets will be $30 until February 3, after that they are $40.  For more ticket information, please contact Teresa Elwood at 330-465-5390 or tlc7701@gmail.com

The window to apply for EdChoice Scholarships is now open.  Yesterday all school families – day school and preschool/daycare – received information regarding EdChoice.  Please be sure to check this out!  We would like anyone wishing to apply to complete the process that was outlined in our email by March 1.

The weekend of February 24-25 we need students to speaks in groups of two at the Masses and read their essays they wrote during Catholic Schools week.  Please speak to your student about this and let us know what Mass would work for your family.

St. Mary School’s Open House will be held Sunday, March 4, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  We will be asking students in grades 4-8 to serve as ambassador/tour guides during Open House.

REGISTRATIONS for placement in ST. MARY SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN Fall 2018 Class, will be accepted at St. Mary School Open House on Sunday, March 4, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and March 7-9, 2018, in the School Office from 10:00-11:30 a.m.and 1:00-2:30 p.m.

The age requirement of St. Mary’s All Day Kindergarten program requires that a child be five (5) years of age on or before September 30.  

Parents, you will need to have the following items with you on the day you complete your child’s application:

                Your child's birth certificate

                Your child's Social Security card

                Your child's baptismal certificate

                When applicable, information regarding legal custody

There is a $50.00 Registration Fee payable at the time you apply.

Once all registrations have been received, placement will be as follows:

                1.  Children of families currently attending St. Mary School

                2.  Children of registered, active St. Mary Church Parishioners

                3.  All other children

It is time to order your yearbook!  Order forms are being sent home with the students or you can order online at   YBPAY.LIFETOUCH.COM  by using the yearbook ID code   11649218.     Order deadline is March 16, 2018.

The data families submitted for the STMS Alerts has been submitted to the Wayne County Emergency Management System.    Not only will school closings be sent through this system, this system will be used to alert you to other school events.  We had a test run of this system this past week and it was successful.  If you did not submit your info to the school and still want to be part of this group, you can register by going to http://entry.inspironlogistics.com/stmaryschool_oh/wens.cfm.  This link will be available on the school website under the parent tab. 

Update to St. Mary School Uniform Policy:  Hoodies with the St. Mary School logo can now be worn in the classroom.  These can be those purchased through the fall spirit wear sale or those now available through our online spirit wear store (link available on the school website under the parent tab).  These are the ONLY hoodies that can be worn in the classroom.
