Weekly News 10/13/17

The transition to LunchTime has gone well.  Just a reminder that any unpaid lunch charges have been transferred to the student’s accounts.


As the weather cools please be sure that the clothing item your student is choosing to wear in the classroom to keep warm meets the requirements laid out in the Uniform Policy (attached).  Hoodies are not to be worn in the classroom.


The school’s annual fundraiser started on Thursday, September 28 and ran through Thursday, October 12.  Thanks to all who participated.  If you have not turned in your order, please do so Monday


STM Make-a-Difference Social Justice Club is collecting socks to make a difference in the lives of our homeless neighbors.  Please see the attached flyer for details on how to participate.


If you are leaving with your student prior to the end of our prayer service at the end of the day, please remember to sign out.  Our Safety Plan mandates that we account for all students until our dismissal at 3:30 p.m.  We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.


MARK YOUR CALENDAR – Friday, November 3, we will be having an early dismissal in order for the staff to have an inservice with Emergency Management.  All students will need to be picked up at noon that day (extended day services will NOT be available).


Mardi Gras Planning – This year we are asking the Room Parents from each classroom to come up with an idea for their class project to be created by the students and auctioned at Mardi Gras.  Please write up your idea and the supplies that will be needed to complete the project and submit it to Mrs. Marvin by the end of October.


St. Mary Parish is hosting A Forum on the local Opiate Crisis, Tuesday, October 24, 7-8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  Join in an evening of Awareness, Hope & Healing to engage with local leaders on the opiate crisis.  Access the link for more details.



St. Edward School, Ashland, Ohio, to host “Hidden in Plain Sight”  on Tuesday, November 14.  See the attached bulletins for details
