The Kindergarten class, with the help of some great 7th graders, learned about and constructed simple machines out of common classroom items, such as shoeboxes, paper towel rolls, yarn, baskets and cardboard. They had a fun time working together developing new inventions based on traditional simple machines. Click here to see a nice photo montage of the activity! Thanks, Mrs. Gorman and Mrs. Boyer!
The 2013-2014 school year flew by quickly... and with it, a new crop of graduating 8th graders! Here's a link to the traditional 8th grade retrospective video. Give a hearty virtual round of applause to Christina Carlisle, Sara Daugherty, Emily Finley, Emma Goebel, Nathan Lee, Chloe Lewis, Olivia Lewis, Christopher Roche, and Mia Smith! Con-GRAD-ulations! We'll miss you! Good luck in the future!
St. Mary School fifth grade students wrote essays for the Catholic Daughter's Essay Contest - "Jesus Loves Us - How Do We Spread That Love?" The local chapter winners from St. Mary School are as follows: Natalie Adams, Lauren Crum, and Preston Duong. The winning essays were sent to the state committee. For the first time, we are extremely proud to announce that Natalie Adams was the overall state champion. Thank you Catholic Daughters for your support in the mission of our school.
