Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird... it's a plane... no, it's our Kindergarten Super Students of the Week... Emma (from last week) and Joel (this week)! Totally terrific, superkids! Now go save the world! Up, up, and away!
Congratulations go out to Mary, the Second Grade Student of the Week! Definitely the pride of Mrs. Westover's classroom, no doubt! What a classy and great second grader! As 7th grader Xavier would say in French, "C'est très bien!"
Last week was rife with two grueling back-to-back competitions for our Academic Challenge team! On Thursday, February 26th, the team travelled to St. Mary School in Akron for our second (of three) meets, in which the team amassed 270 points and placed them in second place overall. Two days later, on Saturday, February 28th, the team headed to Copley High School for a NAQT Invitational tournament. Our St. Mary team did well, considering they just learned the intense NAQT format that morning, did not know what to expect, and never practiced the types of questions like the rest of the whopping 28 teams there (including Edgewood!). The kids tied for 3rd place in our bracket, and ranked 13 overall. Congratulations go out to John Gorman (who ranked in the top 10 amongst over 120 total students), Peter Goebel, Nathaniel Lewis, Madelin Dyer, Isabel Smith, Hannah Watson, and Nithya Gurumurthy!
REGISTRATIONS for placement in ST. MARY SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN Fall 2015 Class, will be accepted March 11-13, 2015. Papers can be completed in the School Office from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

  • Your child's birth certificate
  • Your child's Social Security card

There is a $35.00 Registration Fee payable at the time you apply. Once all registrations have been received, placement will be as follows:

  1. Children of families currently attending St. Mary School
  2. Children of registered, active St. Mary Church Parishioners
  3. All other children

Then, beginning Monday, March 23 through Thursday, April 2, it will be time for re-registering students currently attending K-7 for the 2015/16 school year. More details regarding re-registration will be forthcoming.

Good news, everyone! We've recently just registered (not to be confused with our home parish, which is't worry, it's just a shorter shortcut to the URL of the original web address, so be sure to update your old bookmarks. Pass the word around!
